0 notes - Zach Wahls’ new idea for putting a face on gay equality. I’ve always been a huge advocate of breaking bread together. I attend multiple events a month where people who are part of my various communities get together just to have a meal and spend time chatting about anything and everything.

Zach Wahls, a 19-year-old University of Iowa student spoke about the strength of his family during a public forum on House Joint Resolution 6 in the Iowa House of Representatives. Wahls has two mothers, and came to oppose House Joint Resolution 6 which would end civil unions in Iowa.

The fight to to keep marriage equality in Iowa continues, help us support Iowans like Zach.

Joel Burns, “It Gets Better” - Speech/Announcement during a Fort Worth City Council Meeting

By far the most moving “It Gets Better” video I’ve seen yet. I think the biggest reason it is so moving is because Mr. Burns represents who gay people really are, and his fellow council members all supported him in a standing ovation. Change is coming! When the government puts a stop to discrimination based on religious values, hopefully society will follow.
