OutToDinner.org - Zach Wahls’ new idea for putting a face on gay equality. I’ve always been a huge advocate of breaking bread together. I attend multiple events a month where people who are part of my various communities get together just to have a meal and spend time chatting about anything and everything.

Zach Wahls, a 19-year-old University of Iowa student spoke about the strength of his family during a public forum on House Joint Resolution 6 in the Iowa House of Representatives. Wahls has two mothers, and came to oppose House Joint Resolution 6 which would end civil unions in Iowa.
The fight to to keep marriage equality in Iowa continues, help us support Iowans like Zach.

What’s even more disturbing about this article is that the victim was the pastor’s own son, and the Sheriff Deputy who responded to the incident not only didn’t stop the violence, but refused to let the victims file charges on the attackers. Disgusting example of the type of hate that fuels some people.

Coughlan616 counters an academic paper written by Family Research Council titled “Top 10 Myths about Homosexuality”. A great discussion of the bigotry in our society and Coughlan616 supports all of his points with respectable research and points out all the flaws in the Family Research Council’s arguments.

Joel Burns, “It Gets Better” - Speech/Announcement during a Fort Worth City Council Meeting
By far the most moving “It Gets Better” video I’ve seen yet. I think the biggest reason it is so moving is because Mr. Burns represents who gay people really are, and his fellow council members all supported him in a standing ovation. Change is coming! When the government puts a stop to discrimination based on religious values, hopefully society will follow.
